Overdue Updates

Happy 18 months to our darling little turkey! Yup, you read that right: 18 MONTHS!! How is that even possible?!

Shae's daycare had an Easter party and all the parents were invited to attend. After the Valentine's Day party fiasco where we were apparently the only parents who did not attend (because we didn't know about it), we both thought it was our duty to represent for Easter. And it turns out we were the only parents who did attend. Um... wha?? Regardless, it was adorable to see Shae and all her classmate buddies gathered 'round the table for snack time prior to the big egg hunt.
Dying Easter eggs the night before the bunny's arrival. Shae was a champ at dipping the eggs! Granted her hands ended up looking like the Incredible Hulk when it was all said and done... but apparently PAAS dye washes off really easily, so yay!
Easter morning. Darn little turkey made it really tough for me to snap proper photos of her lovely little dress, but I tried! She loved wearing it -- shocking, actually.
Mama, what the heck is this filth (a.k.a. leaf) doing in MY home?
My chin? Why it's right here, mama! Duh! Looking like the cat that got the canary...
Escorting Gram and Gramps from church -- Shae respects her elders! (haha)
Such a big girl.
Turns out the Easter Bunny showed up in Thornton while we were at church! Who knew?!
John 3:16: Jesus died on the cross so that all who believe in him may enjoy Easter swag. Or something like that.
The Easter Bunny brought bubbles in Shae's Easter basket. ("Bubbles? BUBBLES!!") Cousins Nicole and Emily help Shae try to catch the bubbles.

Mmmm... sharing Gram's coconut cupcake. (And by "sharing" we mean that Shae gets all the frosting and Gram is left with the stump.)
Gram and Shae. Best of pals.
Gramma Marlene and Shae. Best of pals, part II.
Three generations of Bennigsdorf!
Playin' with mama in the sunshine. ("Mama, get off of me! I want to go run!") Thanks, Uncle Buddy, for the hat!
Coming in for a landing...
Chillaxin' on Uncle Craig's fabulous back deck.
Shae learned a very valuable lesson recently: turns out that when she wears sunglasses, not only can she still see, but the sun that oh-so annoys the crud out of her is blocked from hurting her eyes. Again: who knew!? Good info to have!
Hiking at Mount Falcon with Aunt Amy.
Family photo at Mount Falcon.
Aunt Amy, Uncle Kyle, Dexter and Rosko get in on the action, too.
Such a beautiful day for a hike. We're ready for summer -- more hikes!
