Busy, busy weekend

Shae's daycare Christmas program was on Friday night. Her class sang "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" -- and they were fantastic! I'll post the (fuzzy) video shortly.

On Saturday we drove up to Georgetown for their annual Christmas Market. Shae had a blast hanging out with Baba...

...and Saint Nicholas...

...and with some real-live reindeer...

...and Gramma, too...

...and Keeley, and Taylor, and some horses...

Everyone queued up waiting for the horse sleigh to come back so they can take a ride.

Yeeehaw!

If you look very carefully, you can see Shae's wee pink glove waving from behind Taylor's head.

On Sunday, we got our jumping-and-climbing on at an indoor inflatable park for our friend Parker's birthday.

Sorry for the redeye...

Busy, busy, busy!

Twinkly, Blinky Lights

Shae's friend Jude invited us to go see the Christmas light display at the Denver botanic Gardens last night. So we bundled up and ventured out into the chilly night -- with cookies to keep us warm.

Impossible to get both kids to look at a camera at the same time. Also impossible to get Shae's hand out of her mouth when cookies are involved. Oh well -- 'tis the season.

Merry, merry, merry!

Gingerbread: The After

Gingerbread party madness day started with important chores: bottling beer. (Jody and his buddies have become fantastic homebrewers, and their 11th batch -- a replication of New Belgium Brewery's 1554 -- was made at our house. Fun!)

Shae kept busy in her own kitchen before the party.
It's gingerbread time! The kids (and parents) had a blast.
