Welcome, spring!

Matching smatching; coordination is overrated.
Reading with Aunt Amy.
First day of spring? Time for a Colorado snowstorm! It was a doozie, too.

Time to get out there and play in that snow -- probably (hopefully) the last one of the season, so let's really make it count!
Helping Dad shovel the driveway.
Um, Mama... I don't think I really like this whole snow thing. Can we go to the beach?
Hi Mommy. Hi Mommy. Hi Mommy.
Taking a snow play break to re-fuel.
Lunch dessert: toes!
Snow day play, part II. Gram and Gramps came over to play! (Spring storms are the best -- this is a mere 6 hours after it stopped snowing; note the melt on the street.)
Snowman!
Hi, snowman!
Shae and Grams.
The whole fam -- snowman, included.
Snowman giving Mama a hug.
Dude. Walking in snow is HARD!
Hi, snowman. I suspect our relationship will be short-lived.
Gram brought the tricycle that Mama and Uncle Brian had when they were kids -- so, like, a ka-chillion years ago!
Same tree, same day.

Doing some serious playing

Helping Dad wash his truck.
Mama put together the wagon that Grams and Gramps gave me for Christmas!
Doing some swinging at the park. I love swinging!
Moving on to the jungle gym. Keep up, mama, or I'm going to have to leave you behind!

Another month in the life...

...of The Shae.

Sleeping. Proof that she's not always on the go-go-GO!
Eating delicious oranges -- fuel to be on the go-go-GO!

Coloring -- what we do between bouts of go-go-GO!
Such concentration...
So the first week of March was Dr. Seuss Week at daycare, in honor of the good doctor's 106th birthday on March 2. Every day had a different theme relating to a Dr. Seuss book -- pajama day, crazy socks day, crazy hat day, etc. Tuesday of that week was crazy hair/clothes day. Working with what we have (ahem), Jody gets credit for Shae's appearance that day -- and kudos to him!
Springtime means a new hat selection. This one is still a little big for her growing noggin, but she already loves it -- gets really ticked off whenever it has to come off (for things like baths and bedtime).
This was actually an accidental photo -- that turkey moves FAST when you're trying to snap a photo! -- but it turns out that I really love it. Aside from the boogers (nose and eyes -- double-score!).
Mom and Shae took advantage of a beautiful March Saturday morning to go for a hike at Red Rocks. Turns out Red Rocks is incredibly muddy on a beautiful March Saturday morning, so our hike didn't go very far... but it sure was nice to get outside in the sunshine and fresh air!
