Thanksgiving... and so much more!
First things first: a cool outfit. And a cool kid modeling said outfit.
"What's in there, mama? Let me see!"
"Okay, enough already lady. Let's get this show on the road!"

Jody's aunt's (his mom's sisters) came out for a visit. Made for a good excuse for some family photos!

Finger painting on a Sunday morning. What could be better!?

Enough with the paints... let's play with Tupperware!
On to Thanksgiving! The bird before it was cooked. (Please note: I totally forgot to take a post-roast photo, so this is all we've got.)
What a fine lookin' group of folks!
Pies, pies, pies!
And cheesecake!
Mmmmmm... pie! (Well technically: mmmmm... Cool Whip!)
Yeah, yeah, yeah: CHEESE! Now more pie, please!
Shae is a puzzle wizard. No, I'm not kidding: she can assemble the entire puzzle all by herself (she actually does not appreciate assistance!) in record time.

Day after Thanksgiving? Time to get the Christmas tree! Nekkid tree:
Decorated tree!
Shae was pretty wound up with all the decorating festivities. This was the result of me saying "Shae, come stand by the tree so I can take a picture of you."
Finally, we found a compromise -- the Santa monkey is her new BFF (of the moment).

If you want to be a Badger...

In da mountains!
November 7? Sure, seems like a great day for a hike -- it's sunny, it's warm... that's normal, right?

The 'ween
A couple days earlier. Shae allowed a headband to be placed on her head. Pretty darn cute, in my opinion!

Week 2 of tumbling class. Week 2 was just as chaotic as week 1. Nature of the beast, I'm afraid.

Time to carve pumpkins! Shae helped dad remove the pumpkin guts.

Posing on the front step post-carving.
Dad's scary pumpkin.
Shae's cute pumpkin.
Mama's silly pumpkin.

Playing on the horse again. (It's just noteable because she shunned it for so long!)

George's turn!
Time for costume! Shae was a lovely flower gnome for Halloween this year. Let the adorableness ensue.

Going to see Gramma B.
Hanging out with Gram and Baba.
Going trick-or-treating! (It didn't last long -- Shae was not too keen on going to people's doors, despite practicing her lines for hours ahead of time.)

At 7:38 p.m. we had to turn off the lights and shut the door. A total of 187 trick-or-treaters came to our house this year, yet our overall volume seemed down compared to last year. My brilliant (*cough cough* nerdy) idea was to put a white board on the front door to track how many people we got, in part for my own curiosity and in part to plan for next year!
