No photos yet because, well, have you ever tried to take a picture inside a baby's mouth!? Yeah, not so much... BUT I can confirm that WE HAVE A TOOTH!!
Shae and I went to the doctor yesterday for her post-hospital check-up. Not to downplay that event in any way -- she got a clean bill of health (still a little bit of crud in her lungs, but that will clear up on its own) and the doc confirmed no more oxygen... woohoo!!
Anyway, Shae was laying on the exam bed waiting for the doctor to come in and we were playing. She was her usual drooly self and laughing at silly mom and I happened to glance at her bottom gum line. We've been watching at mysterious white dot on the lower gum for quite some time, but I have been suspect of it because it's a little off to the side. Well I nearly fell down with shock (literally -- my heart palpitated!) when I saw a very distinct little white line right in the middle of her lower gum. I ran my finger over it and sure enough: it's a little razor blade poking through! Shae is about to have her first tooth!!
So exciting. I'll post photos when and if I am able!
PS: Super-props to Gramma Julie for flying out to spend the next few days with Shae while mom saves her job. Thanks, Gram!

YEAH!!! We will have to be careful so that she does not bite us next time we see her!!
